The Swedish Fundraising Control
ABC Sweden is monitored by Svensk Insamlingskontroll (The Swedish Fundraising Control) to ensure that donations are in the right hands. They have enacted a series of rules and criteria which any serious development organizations also apply, as they regularly check our records. It is only through the Swedish Fundraising Control organizations get a so-called “90-account” which give donors a guarantee that the money goes to the right purpose.
Unfortunately, it also cost to fundraise. According to the Swedish Fundraising Control the administration of the organisation can only cost up to 25 percent of the revenues (such as administrative costs, bank transfer costs, etc).
ABC’s totals only go up to 5 per cent per year (2011), which is considerably lower than many other development organizations in Sweden.
