The vertical garden is an installation that will bring jungle natural feeling, aesthetic pleasure, tasty and growing experience for the project participants and visitors at Stenkrossen.
The wall is called The We-Wall after a suggestion from Elin Assarsson member and will include high tech smart-systems for life-support of the plants - solar powered self-watering irrigation system and automatic lighting system.
It is installed by Erik Wilson from ByLife company and Hristo Valchev from Urban Naturalistic Installations Project together in collaboration with Stenkrossen culture house, solarXbike project and Anna Wolanska.
If you want to find out more about this design and more green wall designs, systems and plants you can come and participate during our workshop on 29th of May:

During the Sustainability Week 2017 in Lund the Urban Naturalistic Installations Project installed a Herbal Spiral Garden Installation on Stortorget.
Then during the Sustainability Festival on 20th of May we planted together many herbs, spices and greens.
We are creating a special spiral garden growing with big diversity of edible greens, herbs and spices in the center of Lund which people can try, while meeting together and talking about sustainable use of public spaces.
We have created the spiral in an educational way with descriptions for the design and signs for the plants.
The installation will stay on Stortorget until 22nd of May and then move to Stenkrossen.
Enjoy love from the nature!

Tomorrow we are hosting an interactive workshop by Marlis Charlotte on volunteer motivation, personal sustainability and the emotionality of climate change at Stenkrossen, 6-8pm. Hope to see many of you there! ... See MoreSee Less
Why do most people not act in the face of climate change? Why is it so easy to fall into despair when looking at the problems facing us? And what can we do to motivate ourselves and those around us to get active? These are questions we will explore in this workshop. We will look at emotions surrounding climate change and how to react to them. We will also learn about different models of motivation and apply them. The goal of the day will be to find strategies to motivate both others to become active and ourselves to keep up or find motivation for engagement and pro-environmental behaviors.
We will meet in Vita Galleriet in Stenkrossen and the workshop will last about two hours. Everybody is welcome – whether you identify as climate activist or would like to do something but don’t know how to start.
Fika will be provided.
