About ABC

🤝 We are ABC Active Contributions for People and the Environment 🌱

Our initiatives seek to build a collaborative community by focusing on small-scale and long-sighted activities centred on environment, sustainability, fair trade, youth empowerment and waste reduction.

We organise interactive events, run local and international projects and collaborate with organisations from different fields in order to create meaningfulness for every individual through our basic beliefs of help for self-help, sustainability and equality for all.

Our projects include urban gardens, food waste management, bee keeping and fruit picking initiatives, along with the promotion of Fair Trade in Lund. We also have international projects in Nepal which include a youth resource centre and the Zero Waste at Schools program. Read more about our projects here.

ABC is an independent non-profit organization established in Lund in 1998.

At ABC we seek to bring people together to enable the transition towards sustainable and empowered communities. 

We work with initiatives that focus on democracy building and sustainable development in Sweden and Nepal. Our initiatives are made possible through a close collaboration with local groups, organizations, municipal actors and other important actors in society. ABC’s foundation is a strong and active membership base.

Our activities are closely aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We co-create, fund and collaborate on projects that aim at driving societal change, engage the community and move towards the realisation of many of the 17 global goals. Statutes

Here you can find the English translation of the originally Swedish statutes, that were enacted by the inaugural meeting in Lund, 29 July 1998.
