Do You have an interest for Fairtrade and sustainability? Do You want to make a difference and coordinate sustainable events for a better society? Then it is You who should read this! Today, the 29th of September at 5 pm we at ABC – active contributions for people and the environment will host an activity group meeting to exchange ideas and plan future events and activities during the remainder of the autumn and as well next years event. You are most welcome to participate and share your opinions, ideas and experiences! This weekend it is time for Skördefesten! The city of Lund will be filled with all that belongs to our colourful autumn. So of course there will be pumpkins, seeds and other local grown vegetables, a parad of wheelbarrows, people dancing around with trees and a Lundasylt made out of Lunds very own fruits and berries!

We at ABC will of course be here this weekend. During saturday we wish to see sunshine and a blue sky when we attend Skördefesten. Our projects and the project coordinators will be active during this autumn day. We will be joining the wheelbarrow parad from Stortorget to the park Bleckhornens with our own wheelbarrows and hang in Stadsparken with who ever wants to chat with us about our projects.

This saturday during Skördefesten is a very special day this year! This year we have with us our new Lundasylt! This is a jam made of fruit and berries which Fruktsam handpicks in public places around Lund and cook with help from the chef Bianca for all of Lund to enjoy. In other words it is an ecological, locally produced jam of Lund – Lundasylt! Make small talk with Fruktsams project coordinator and learn more about the project, the vision behind it and our Lundasylt.

It is time for Lund’s annual culture manifestation Kulturnatten (The Culture Night) when all central of Lund becomes an all night long culture celebration – and of course we’re here! During Kulturnatten the twentieth of September we at ABC – active contributions for people and the environment together with The Swallows India Bangladesh will host an Open House filled with cultural activities. We at ABC will also host activities at Stenkrossen and our fruit picking initiative Fruktsam will be in The Botanical Gardens of Lund.

At ABC’s and The Swallows’ office on Spolegatan 5 we will arrange lots of cultural activities between 10.00-15.30. Here you will get the opportunity to go crazy shopaholic in The Swallows second hand store, sit back with an ecological fika, purchase Fair Trade products and handicrafts from ABC’s projects in India, do a henna tattoo and listen to live music from Lund’s local talants. In The Botanical Gardens of Lund the green houses will be open during the night and there will be an Apple Theme. Our fruit picking initiative Fruktsam will be there between 18.00-21.00. Visit The Botanical Gardens website for more information.

At Stenkrossen we will host a cultural feast all night long with live music, Vi odlar! will arrange gardening activities in the garden, the project The Buzzing Beehive welcomes you to visit our beehive and we will arrange an ecological and Fair Trade café between 18.00-22.00. We at ABC will be here at 18.00 until midnight.
